PHX Store: Our Second Portfolio (Built as a Partnership During the Pandemic)

PHX Store is our second portfolio project, created by me and my husband as a hands-on business partnership. It was built to provide high-quality office, work-from-home, and kitchen essentialsโ€”practical items that support everyday life and routines.

Built as a couple, built as a team

This shop wasnโ€™t just about productsโ€”it was about learning how to build something together. From planning, posting, and answering inquiries, to improving how we presented each item, PHX Store became part of our growth as partners working toward one goal.

What I learned (and improved) along the way

Because we handled the shop ourselves, I gained real experience and learned so much in:

  • Graphics & product presentation (making visuals that catch attention and look trustworthy)
  • Copywriting (captions and descriptions that explain value, not just features)
  • Marketing strategy (how to attract people and guide them to buy with confidence)
  • Content creation (photos/videos that make products feel useful and relatable)

Why marketing matters in selling

For us, marketing became the โ€œtraining groundโ€ on how to sellโ€”learning what makes people stop scrolling, what makes them curious, and what makes them trust the product enough to purchase.

We learned that people donโ€™t just buy an itemโ€”they buy the goal behind it and what it can do for them: comfort, convenience, productivity, time saved, and a better daily routine.

Why PHX Store is part of my portfolio

PHX Store represents a season where I built skills through real experienceโ€”working with my husband, learning fast, and improving my creative and marketing skills in a way that still supports what I do today.
