Discover Pico de Loro: What You Need to Know

Pico de Loro Beach & Country Club is the perfect place for anyone looking for a beach near Manila to relax, recharge and enjoy some nature bliss. This exclusive residential resort offers numerous amenities to make your staycation or celebration extra special while accessible within a 2-hour drive from the Metro. Whether you’re looking to lounge around or partake in outdoor activities with friends or family, Pico de Loro Beach & Country Club has something for everyone. Located on Hamilo Coast in Nasugbu, Batangas is a hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is the perfect destination for those looking to relax, unwind, and escape the hustle of everyday life.

To get to Pico De Loro, you’ll need to book your stay through Airbnb or Agoda, where condo unit owners rent out their places. This is recommended if you want to spend less since you can cook your meals as the units have kitchen facilities available. This option lets you enjoy all of Pico De Loro’s amenities. Staying at the Country Club has many benefits; you’ll have access to the Country Club, a private beach, and a free shuttle service. However, it does not include access to the Beach Club. Alternatively, you can book your stay at Pico Sands Hotel, which is more expensive but provides convenience and access to all facilities, including the Beach Club. You can only walk in if you know a member who can accompany you as you enter.

When visiting the park, you must pay an entrance fee separate from the rental fee. This fee is currently 1200 for adults and 800 for children, and it is a one-time payment that covers your stay throughout your visit. The entrance fee helps maintain the park, ensuring visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience. A private vehicle is best since the resort is 3 kilometers from the main gate. Once there, you don’t have to worry about parking because each building has free parking spaces.
Visiting this location can be tricky regarding payments, as no ATMs are inside. Payments for restaurants, activities, and convenience stores must only be made with debit or credit cards; however, the entrance fee can still be paid in cash. It is worth noting that some establishments may have their policies regarding payment methods, and it is best to check before making a purchase.

Walking is a great way to explore the resort, especially if you have ample time and energy. Pico de Loro is quite huge, so taking advantage of the free shuttle service that runs every 3-5 minutes, from 6 am-10 pm daily, is also a great option. The surroundings are peaceful and relaxing, perfect for leisurely walks and sightseeing – making it an ideal way to get around the resort.

During our Stay

Upon arriving at Hamilo Coast main gate, the guard asked for our booking confirmation inside Pico de Loro. We had booked it through Agoda, so the unit owner had already provided us with a gate pass. The caretaker of the unit also advised us on which room we should stay in. Our check-in process was smooth, and we were quickly settled into our room on the 6th floor of Myna. The room was spacious, with two bedrooms, an equipped kitchen, and a balcony providing stunning views of the country club. We enjoyed spending time in the room, taking in the sights from the comfort of our own private space.

After we rested, we decided to take the free shuttle service to the beach area, which was surprisingly crowded since it was a holiday. Despite the many people, the beach still gave us a sense of peace and serenity. We explored the area and were delighted to find the sand was super fine and clean, making it perfect for going barefoot. The sand didn’t appear white due to the sunlight. However, it was still a treat to walk on. The shallow and calm waters at the beach made it ideal for kids of all ages and an excellent spot for families. The pools were nice and clean, and there was an infinity pool and kiddie pools to enjoy. Aside from the collections, there were plenty of other facilities, such as a convenience store, gym, lobby, and dining spaces with views of the lake lagoon. It was a great experience to have all these amenities in one location!

We had a fantastic day sightseeing and savoring the pleasant weather, taking many photos along the way. We then walked to the lagoon area, where a bridge in the middle, and were instantly mesmerized by the breathtaking view of the mountains and lush rainforests. The peaceful lake was also very calming, making it a truly relaxing experience.

Our stay in Pico was truly memorable as we celebrated my partner’s birthday with his family. On our way back to the Hamilo Coast main gate, we were in awe of the stunning views of all the mountains and hills in the distance. The perfect weather made for a beautiful end to our trip. We had a wonderful time visiting Pico, and we will come back! From the stunning ocean views to the lush forests and cozy beaches, Pico offers much to explore and appreciate. Not to mention, its peaceful atmosphere allows us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature and enjoy its bliss.
